Biography of Gianni Gamondi Architect

Gianni Gamondi was born in Alessandria, studied architecture at the Politecnico of Milano, and had as professors Gio Ponti and Ernesto N. Rogers. He graduated in 1966, opened a studio in Milan and started to operate in Costa Smeralda, where he established a second office. A tireless traveller, he specialized in the elite tourism industry designing and building villas, village resorts, hotels, and golf courses all over the world, focusing on remote and exotic locations like the Caribbean Islands, Bermuda, Australia and Hawaii. The complex of Porto Rotondo, Porto San Paolo, Coda Cavallo and Puntaldia in Sardinia, Krizia K-Club in Barbuda, the Emerald Cove Resort in Antigua, as well as numerous private residences for prominent members of the Italian and international jet-set are among his most significant achievements. His work then extended to prestigious renovation interventions in civil and urban development in London, France, Italy, and impressive works of landscape architecture. He has realised personal and exclusive projects, in the most beautiful locations, expressing his unique capacity to "read" the landscape and interact with it in complete harmony with the environment. The spirit of his studies is that of a "family-like" kind, very personal and selective, enriched and strengthened by a close-knit team, which well reflects his professional identity as a capable, confidential, and passionate professional.
